Joyce Chan

Teacher Joyce came from a musical family and started playing piano at the age of 5. By the age of 15 she had finished the Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music certificate (ABRSM) in Hong Kong. After moved to Vancouver, she continued her training under Greg Semerdjian and Dona Fishwick and completes the Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto (A.R.C.T) diploma in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM). She also have a RCM Certified Teacher for all Level Piano and Theory Specialist. She has performed and received several awards in many competition, recitals and festival, including Kiwanis Music Festivals, Student Performer’s Guild Festival, Burnaby Clef Music Festival and Festival on the Lake. In 2004 and 2008, she performed for Young Pianist Recitals Society Europe tour as a ensemble duet, and the celebration Concert in Vancouver Play House. Teacher Joyce has been teaching piano for 30 years and is 
currently teaching students of all ages and levels. She 
has taught for various community centers in Vancouver & Burnaby, as well as for a few private music schools. Many of her students have excellent result of RCM examinations level 1-10 with over 90 marks. She also prepares students for different festivals and recitals throughout the year. Teacher Joyce was also trained to teach group lesson for young children using a Canadian developed method name MYC (Music for Young Children). In addition, she is a certified teacher of “Music Together” which focuses on teaching singing class 
to children from toddlers to age 9. 陳老師出身於音樂世家, 自小已學習鋼琴, 她於年僅十五歲已在香港完成英國皇家音樂學院聯合委員會之八級鋼琴文憑試 (ABRSM), 移民後繼續於名師Dona Fishwick 及Greg Semerdjia 之指導下完成RCM培訓，並考取多倫多皇家音樂學院(RCM)之鋼琴演奏文憑(A.R.C.T)，同時陳老師亦擁有RCM認證之專業鋼琴及樂理教師文憑。陳老師曾於2000至2008年間參於多次鋼琴比賽、獨奏會及音樂節表演並獲得多個獎項，包括Kiwanis 鋼琴比賽， Student Performer’s Guild Festival, Burnaby Clef及Festival on the Lake 音樂節等。2004年和2008年，她曾於青年鋼琴演奏家協會之歐洲巡迴作二重合奏演出，並曾於溫哥華小女皇劇院舉行慶祝音樂會。 陳老師教授鋼琴已30年， 學生包捨不同年齡和各級的學生。她曾於在溫哥華, 本拿比以及烈治文各私立音樂學校及各種社區中心教授。不少學生亦於RCM加拿大皇家音樂學院之各級考試中取得非常優異成績, 不少成續有90分或以上，同時她每年亦會為學生準備參演不同的音樂節及演奏會。陳老師還接受過專業加拿大開發之小組班教學課程,名為MYC (Muisc For Young Children), 該小組班專為幼兒音樂教學。此外， 她亦是“Music Together”之認證教師.
