Kamilla Isanbaeva

Hello! Thank you for taking a look at my profile. I am a concert pianist who also loves to teach. I teach in Worcester, MA at Pakachoag Music School, both in-person and remotely. My experience using the RCM syllabus began while I was living in London. From 2012 to 2015, I worked at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Royal College of Music, and the Royal Academy of Music. During this time, I taught using the UK RCM syllabus; but am equally adept at working with the RCM Canadian syllabus. Regarding my pianistic training and background, my love of music began at an early age. I was fairly early recognized as a virtuosic pianist, which eventually led to performances in concert halls throughout Europe, including Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw and Vienna’s Musikverein. In 2013, I was invited to perform in several major music festivals in Switzerland and Germany, with additional solo tours in China and Japan. You may not immediately recognize my accent if you meet me. I was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. At the age of 5, I was accepted into the Central Music School, supervised by the Tashkent State Conservatory, where I began my music education as a pianist, organist and violinist. From the age of 10, I participated in national music competitions (as a pianist) and won several prizes. In 1994, as a teenager, I immigrated to the Netherlands where I was admitted to the Young Talents Class at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. During the following years, I performed regularly in the well known concert halls of Europe including the beautiful Concertgebouw Amsterdam. In 2000, I undertook a Bachelors Degree program at the Conservatory of Amsterdam where I founded the Kafka Trio which went on to participate in respected music festivals and concerts. I continued with a Masters Degree and was invited for one year to Freiburg in Germany to study with the very respected Prof. Gottlieb. My master’s degree examination in 2008 was successful and lead to international radio streaming. In 2010, I relocated to Vienna, Austria where I performed with several well-known international performers and participated in various festivals. In 2011, I recorded my first CD under the label “Capriccio” with cellist Harriet Krijgh. Part of this program was performed on the Dutch radio, with live streaming out of the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam. From there, I moved to London and in 2015 to the US and Worcester area with new family connections and new music family at Pakachoag Music School. I of course expect my students to practice! But also understand that young people here in the US are sometimes juggling a number of activities. If needed, we can develop a practice schedule to help with routine and consistency. As a teacher, I will encourage you to participate in performance classes and recitals at Pakachoag. I prefer not to rush through the syllabus but to use the music to provide a firm foundation for learning that is complete and thorough. When ready, I will be happy to assist with your final exam preparations.
