Karen Zhang

I am a dedicated music educator with over five years of teaching experience, specializing in piano, voice, and music theory. I hold a Bachelor of Music from Queen’s University and am currently completing my Bachelor of Education. My background in performance, pedagogy, and ensemble musicianship informs a well-rounded and student-centred teaching approach.

I have extensive training in piano, voice, clarinet, and chamber ensemble performance, and I work with learners ranging from early childhood to adulthood. My lessons are engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I focus on building strong technical foundations, developing musical expression, and helping students gain confidence in both their playing and themselves.

I prepare students for Royal Conservatory examinations, recitals, and auditions, while fostering creativity, discipline, and a genuine love for music. My goal is to support each student’s long-term growth by creating a positive and inspiring learning environment where they can thrive.
