Kathryn Lapp

I have taught music for 48 years to all ages. Since recently retiring from playing violin in professional orchestras, now I am happy to focus on teaching music students. Children are very important to me, having raised six of my own! As an adult, I earned a singing degree from the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto) because I wanted to sing in church! So I now teach classical singing also. And I have had some good success in teaching piano. A few years ago, I took seven levels of pedagogy in the Suzuki Method, so I use it in both violin and piano teaching, along with traditional methods, tailored to the needs of the individual student.
