Kirsten is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto specializing in Music Education for Classical Piano. Her academic achievements have garnered her 3 scholarships during her undergraduate studies, one being the University of Toronto Scholar Award (2022). Having 15 years of classical piano training, she is able to teach up until RCM Level 9 Theory & Harmony. She has extensive experience in music theory, history, and collaborative piano.
As an educator, Kirsten welcomes students of any age and level to her studio. Kirsten has 5 years of experience teaching in both private and group settings, working with various age groups—from young beginners taking their first steps in music, to mature students wanting to refine their skills. She has worked with a variety of students, catering to their unique personal goals—from those preparing for RCM exams and recitals, to students just wanting to explore music for fun. With nearly 15 years of classical piano training, along with a focused undergraduate study in the field, Kirsten also has a strong foundation in classical piano music. She specializes in teaching students interested in RCM piano, theory, and harmony. Her pedagogical practices cultivate a stimulating atmosphere that promotes musical exploration and authentic expression, while simultaneously honing technical skills.
