Kristin Day

Kristin Day, Principal Bassoonist of Orchestra Toronto, is in demand as a performer and bassoon teacher in Toronto. She is currently Principal bassoon of Orchestra Toronto and has performed across Canada with ensembles like the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Winnipeg Symphony, and Windsor Symphony. She can be found bassooning on the soundtrack of the video game Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course. As a dedicated teacher, her bassoon students have won positions in prestigious orchestras, including the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony. When not playing the bassoon, Kristin enjoys chasing her son Dante, brewing pour-over coffee, and perfecting her homemade pizza recipe. www.bassoonist.ca.
