Canadian violinist, pianist, violist and composer Leslie Ashworth has performed in France, Italy, Quebec, Aspen, New York’s Carnegie Hall, Toronto’s Koerner Hall, and the Banff Centre’s Rolston Hall. Leslie received the Lieutenant Governor’s Community Volunteer Award for founding the Suite Melody Care program. Leslie plays on a 1696 Albani violin on loan to her by a generous benefactor and has released her third CD/DVD. A recipient of the Tim and Frances Price Full Scholarship, Leslie graduated with her Bachelor of Music Performance from the Glenn Gould School, studying with Barry Shiffman and Paul Kantor. She is now pursuing her Masters of Music on full scholarship at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Leslie is a passionate teacher and enjoys fostering a love of music with her students of all ages. Her students have earned First Class Honours in RCM exams throughout all levels.
