Daniel is a multi-instrumental musician originally from Shanghai, China. He studied at Shanghai Conservatory of Music and got his master’s degree in East China Normal University. Before moving to New Brunswick, he played in Shanghai City Orchestra and Shanghai Winds Orchestra for 10 years and was also a teaching artist in TOMLEE Music for 15 years. As a RCM Grade 10 woodwind instrumentalist, he dedicates himself in both performance including being a soloist with local ensembles like the Symphonette by the Sea, playing as first Chair clarinetist in the 3rd field Artillery force band, and teaching area including being the woodwind Teaching Artist in Sistema Oromocto Center NB and training young musicians to RCM tests and the NB Music Festival. Daniel teaches Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute and Piano in Long & Mcquade Saint John.
