My name is Liliana Benker, and my life has always been intertwined with music. Born into a family of musicians, I was surrounded by music from an early age. My musical journey began with participating in vocal and piano competitions, which only fueled my passion for music and desire for improvement.
I received my musical education in Ukraine, at the Kyiv Pedagogical College, where I completed bachelor’s degrees in piano, vocal pedagogy, and choir conducting. Not content with that, I continued my studies at the Kyiv National Tchaikovsky Music Academy, earning master’s degrees in piano performance and music education methodology. Additionally, I completed 220 hours of music therapy training, gaining practice with children with special needs.
In my teaching practice, I use a wide range of methods, including Kodály, Suzuki, Montessori, and Orff Schulwerk, always adapting my approach to meet each child’s individual needs and to nurture their love for music.
With over 22 years of experience in teaching and the music industry, I specialize in educating children of all levels, from early childhood to preparing students for admission to higher music institutions. Additionally, I possess extensive knowledge of music theory, as evidenced by my research in my thesis titled “Music and the Cosmos.”
My musical experience also includes recording and releasing my own vocal-instrumental album, featuring cover versions of popular songs, as well as active performances around the world, including the Maldives, Turkey, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.
My vocal teaching style ranges from classical to popular and jazz, and I love working on technique in complex virtuoso piano pieces. All of this helps me achieve high results with my students.
Furthermore, I am a composer of piano music and have successfully completed state exams at the conservatory with my own compositions. Throughout my career, I have also acted as a patron for young musically gifted artists. To this day, I offer the opportunity to perform together with my new original piano-vocal compositions, ready to be shared with a child or created especially for them. For several years, I also had the honor of working for Yamaha as a piano and clavier demonstrator.
Thank you for joining me on my musical journey. I’m excited to continue sharing my passion for music with you. Let’s create beautiful melodies together!
