Lindsey Pino

Hello students and parents! I am a passionate and energetic teacher with nearly 15 years of experience teaching voice lessons to students of all ages and experience levels. I have a Masters Degree in Opera performance, and actively perform and teach any genre of music and any level of musical experience. I started my vocal journey studying vocal jazz and musical theatre before falling in love with classical singing and the athleticism required in operatic vocal production. I've worked with very young beginners and have helped students prepare for college auditions, competitions and exams. Whether you are coming to voice lessons as a hobbyist, or are extremely serious about pursuing a career or academic study of music, I know we can have a lot of fun together and achieve your goals. I specialize in classical voice pedagogy, and believe that a solid foundation in classical vocal production, and breath technique will set vocalists up for success in whatever genre they wish to pursue. All my students will learn classical technique, even if they wish to focus on other genres of music, as my priority is nurturing healthy vocalism to ensure a long and fulfilling musical life for all my students. Lessons with me are joyful, silly, and academically rigorous. You will learn theory and music notation with me in addition to how to practice at home. I expect my students to practice regularly outside of lessons, and maintain a practice journal. I assign theory homework, and research projects based upon the repertoire we are studying catered to the age and level of the student. I have a lot of energy, and can't wait to meet you!
