Ling McLoughlin

Ling, a piano teacher in Boulder, Colorado, has been enjoying her career in piano teaching for over 30 years, including online teaching since 2020. She has experience working with students of all age groups. Many of her students have achieved success in both international and local piano competitions in countries including the United States, Australia, and China. Some notable achievements include: 1st place winners at international music competitions in New York with the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall, 2nd and 3rd place winners at international piano and strings competitions in New York, 1st place winners in the Bach Competition for 2016 and 2017, over 50 winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) at Yamaha piano competitions, Schmitt Music piano competitions, Kawai piano competitions, and Global Melodies piano competitions since 2006, and producing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the Denver Steinway and other Concerto Competitions with some winners getting the opportunity to perform as soloists with orchestras. Ling comes from a family of musicians in China and began taking piano lessons from her mother at a young age. She pursued professional training in piano performance in Beijing starting at the age of thirteen. For college, Ling studied at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China, and later completed a Master of Music in Piano Performance with high distinction at the Canberra School of Music of the Australian National University, Australia.
