Mariam Halka

I am an experienced music educator and pianist with over 10 years of teaching and performance expertise, specializing in accompaniment techniques. With a PhD in Music Education from Helwan University, I have developed innovative and engaging teaching methodologies, curriculum development skills, and a strong focus on student assessment and mentoring. My academic journey includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Helwan University, where I have contributed to the Performance Department in the Accompaniment section and mentored students to achieve their musical aspirations. In addition to my academic roles, I have international teaching experience, including working as a Music Trainer at The American University in Cairo for the CASA Summer Program. My expertise spans piano performance, chamber music, choir accompaniment, and research in collaborative and soloist piano performance. Educationally, I hold a Bachelor’s degree with honors, a Master’s degree, and a PhD in Music Education, all from Helwan University, with a focus on performance (accompaniment). My high school musical diploma from The Higher Institute of Music Conservatoire in Cairo laid the foundation for my lifelong dedication to music. Key skills include piano performance, accompaniment, chamber music, student advising, curriculum development, and research in performance techniques. I am fluent in Arabic and proficient in English, enabling effective communication in diverse educational and performance settings. My work is supported by a series of published research, certifications in digital transformation, and international workshops, reflecting my commitment to continuous growth in the field of music.
