Mike studied classical guitar at the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) in Toronto completing Level 10 in guitar. He has been teaching at Pro-Music in Markham Ontario since the school opened in 1998. He is certified as an Intermediate Specialist – Guitar Designation from the RCM.
He enjoys teaching classical style (nylon-string guitar), acoustic (steel string guitar) and fingerstyle guitar to children, teenagers, adults and seniors.
Mike’s students have achieved RCM National and Regional Gold Medals (formerly Silver Medals), RCM First Class Honours with Distinction, RCM First Class Honours, First Gold Festival Awards and various scholarships. He teaches guitar lessons both in person and online. He prefers in person lessons especially with beginner students and those who wish to pursue exams.
