Neha Natarajan

Neha Natarajan

Neha Natarajan holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance with a minor in Piano, along with a Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Neuroscience and Psychology from the University of Ottawa. Neha has been teaching music since 2015. As a classically trained soprano with experience performing opera, musical theatre, jazz, and pop, Neha is able to build well-rounded singers that are comfortable as both musicians and stage performers. Having completed her RCM Level 10 in Piano, she specializes in teaching late beginner and intermediate piano students (RCM Levels 1-8), with a focus on unlocking a student’s musicality while ensuring a solid technical foundation. Through her research experience, she remains up-to-date on pedagogical practices, and tailors each lesson to facilitate her students’ advancement towards their individual goals; whether that be to participate in exams and competitions, audition for high school or university music programs, or to share their music in a more personal manner. Neha’s teaching philosophy aims to create lifelong music lovers that are creative and intuitive while building self-confidence and independence. Her students regularly acheive scores at the First Class Honours Level at exams and competitions.
