I started teaching accordion in 1963 as a teenager with the support of my accordion teacher Mrs.Albertins who taught me the pedagogical principles of teaching accordion and piano .( she needed help because there were too many accordion students)
I taught many younger students to play the stradella piano accordion during my high school years.As well ,I learned to conduct accordion orchestras made up of children between 6 and 8 years of age.
I began to teach piano and accordion again after my retirement in 2003 from my secondary and elementary school career.
My focus has been the piano RCM exams from preparatory to Grade 10 level.Also,I teach the music theory associated with each of the RCM piano requirements.
I am completely open to teaching piano and accordion to students who only want to learn the instrument(s)for fun and enjoyment only .
My goal is for every student to experience the JOY that playing music brings!
