Having grown up with a father who is a musician, my first piano lessons were with him. I've always been surrounded by music and decided early on that it was going to be a huge part of my life.
My musical background is a diploma in piano performance from Mohawk College, I have also taken part-time courses through York University as well as a Kodaly course through Wilfrid Laurier University.
Before we moved to Guelph in 2015, I ran a full piano studio from our home in Toronto. Since moving to Guelph I have enjoyed a variety of other musical experiences as well! Currently the Director of Centre Wellington Music Together in Fergus/Elora as well as teaching Music Together classes at Montessori School of Wellington, the at Music Director at St. James Anglican, Fergus and former member of the Guelph Celtic Orchestra!
My goal as a music educator has always been to foster knowledge and an appreciation for music. Not only have I spent most of my life studying classical piano but have also studied jazz theory, voice, flute. I'm a firm believer that to teach anything to others, one must always keep learning which is one of the reasons why I continue to attend workshops and currently take Fiddle lessons as well as French classes.
I can't wait to bring the joy of music to you and your family and help you become a music maker?
