Rita Dottor

Rita received her Master of Music Degree in Opera performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Bachelor of Music Degree in Violin and Voice Performance from Southeastern Louisiana University. She studied theatre in New York City at the Atlantic Theatre Company Acting School and HB studios. She has taught privately in New York City for 15 years and in Toronto for 5 years. Her teaching styles include classical violin, fiddle, classical voice/opera, musical theatre, jazz and pop/rock. She loves to teach and share with others what she’s learned from her performance experience. Through her approach, she aims to teach the joys and obstacles of music and theatre through technique, clear communication, musicality and demonstration, using theory, pedagogy and a little humor.
