Salvo Barrale

Salvo Barrale

I was born and educated in Italy. After my graduation in 1987 I began teaching and never stopped since. I have been taught in Italy for many years and played in professionals orchestras and chamber groups. In the year of 2000 I moved to Vancouver and start my music journey in Canada. I played with many groups and prepared many students for R.C.M exams since then. Many have passed exams with high scores and distinction. My teaching method includes the traditional methods of Galamian and Flesch and, the relatively new teaching methods of Kato Havas, Suzuki, and Alexander methods. I strongly believe teaching music helps the world become better. It is responsibility, commitment, dedication but is it definitely worth!! I started teaching in the 90's and makes me happy to think there are lots of violin players out there between Italy and Canada that were my students and many they started with me at the age of 4/5 years old. Teacher, Performer they never die because they walk in the world with the feet and the mind of our students which every time they take the instrument for a concert or simply play for fun with friends they will remember us. To be a teacher it is important to have the knowledge and to know how to transfer to others and to improve these skills every day , every lesson.
