Sarah Elizabeth Coley

Based in Twin Falls, ID, Sarah Coley has been teaching piano and violin lessons for 19 years. She enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities. Currently, she focuses her efforts with students ages 3-18-years-old. Students are from the Twin Falls and surrounding area. Sarah began her musical studies as a student herself on piano at age 3, violin at age 9, and viola while in college. She majored in Music Composition at Boise State University. Since 2005, Sarah continues to pursue Suzuki Teacher Training through the SAA. She is also registered through the SAA to teach Suzuki violin and viola. She has trained with Susan Baer, Mosche Neumann, Dr. Julia Hardie, Barbara Barber and Cathryn S. Lee. Besides the book units, she has also taken several Suzuki enrichment courses as well. This training designates her as a Certified Piano Teacher, Elementary Specialist. She also trained on pre-school pedagogy practices for children ages 4-6-years-old. In 2018, she again completed teacher training through the Canadian RCM. This training designates her as a Certified Piano Teacher, Intermediate Specialist. She will train on advanced piano practices at a future date.​ In 2017, she completed piano group pedagogy teacher training through DPMS. ​ She feels privileged to be a part of many teacher organizations, including SAA, MTNA, and RCMTA. She continues seek out opportunities and training to increase teacher development and collaboration. And provide budding young musicians with more opportunities for personal growth.
