Serena Sze-Wing Leung has been teaching piano in Montreal since 2004 to students of all ages and levels. Her teaching emphasizes the importance of laying a solid foundation for beginners, such as developing good piano touch and movement, correct piano posture, strong sense of pulse and rhythm, efficient reading skill, effective piano practice, as well as musicality. She also pays attention to nurture students’ confidence and enthusiasm in piano playing. Her students often obtain First Class Honours or above in the RCM piano examinations. Many of them were also awarded first place or gold prize in various music competitions, namely Crescendo International Music Competition, Quebec International Music Competition, etc.
Serena completed a bachelor’s degree of music in music education at McGill University in 1999.
