Thomas LaGrange

Thomas graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Music and from the University of Toronto with a Master of Music. He is a Toronto-based freelance trombonist, working as a teacher and performer. He has performed in productions by New Music Concerts and Tapestry Opera, and has performed with Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestra Toronto. While in Edmonton, Thomas performed and taught all over Edmonton, Northern Alberta and British Columbia performing solo and chamber music. Thomas was the recipient of various scholarships throughout his studies and was a winner of the University of Alberta Concerto Competition during his undergraduate studies. He has studied with orchestra musicians from across Canada, including Vanessa Fralick, Megan Hodge, Kathryn Macintosh, Erik Hongisto, John McPherson, and Alden Lowry.
