More information, please visit Wendyshih.weebly.com As a cello instructor, I am not only training my students to acquire a range of interlocking skills – in performance, technique, notation, and listening and musical perception – as well as knowledge, understanding and creativity, but also helping them to be successful in music exams/assessments, auditions and competitions. I do so with a can-do and enthusiastic attitude. I have passion in gathering all my young and senior students and providing them different opportunities at least once or twice a year to share their hard work publicly. Apparently, they improve rapidly and raise more interest on learning Cello throughout these multiple challenges. In 2011, I have earned a Master of Music degree in Cello Performance at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK. After graduation from the school, I have been participating in many concerts in a great numbers of places such as London, Cambridge, Birmingham, Taipei, Myanmar and Disney Concert Hall in California., etc.. All performances and concert tours are formative experiences that have absolutely enriched me an individual who endeavors to pursue a lifelong career in music. In 2013, I became the first Taiwanese who was honored member in City of Cambridge Symphony Orchestra. I joined North York Concert Orchestra in summer, 2022. In 2015, my passion for music performance and instruction for next generation prompted me to move back to my homeland Taiwan. Giving lessons to the school’ kids and adults and performing in the orchestras concerts became my meaningful daily routine. I have been teaching in many schools in Taipei, such as Kang Chiao International School, Ding Pu Elementary School, Long An Elementary School, Xinmin Elementary School, etc.. In 2017, I joined the team of El Sistema Taiwan, a free classical music education that promotes human opportunity and development for impoverished children. I have been helping students to be successful in RCM/ ABRSM music exams, auditions and competitions. In 2021, I have gathered all my students around the world to record Christmas Carol to fulfill the idea of music without boarder.
