Digital Media at the Crossroads DM@X Conference
Digital Media at the Crossroads DM@X Conference
February 6-7, 2026
Digital Media at the Crossroads (DM@X) is a two-day conference held in Walter Hall at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music. Founded in 2015, it brings together policymakers, funders, guild leaders, industry executives, creators, and scholars to explore the forces transforming Canada’s screen, audio, and interactive sectors. Sessions consist of evidence-based briefings and moderated discussions that link legislation and regulation (including the Online Streaming Act), technological trends (AI and data), funding strategies, and market realities to everyday creative practices. The goal is to provide you with a clear, current understanding of both the risks and opportunities in a sector experiencing structural change.
