Natalia Bakaeva’s education has given her the skills and hands-on training that allows her to provide her students with the best teaching practice possible. She received her master's degree in French Linguistics from the University of Toronto in 2008 and continued her education in the field of Sociolinguistics, which granted her a Doctorate in French Linguistics in 2016.

Over the past 10 years, she has put her knowledge to work as a researcher and course instructor at the University of Toronto. Her teaching specializations are Linguistics and French as a Second Language.

Natalia’s teaching focuses on developing linguistic proficiency, cultural competence and peer interaction through blended teaching in French. Her passion for cross-cultural understanding is illustrated in her beliefs and approaches to teaching, where diverse student needs are placed at the forefront of learning processes.
