Summer Voice Programs

2019 Vocal Performance and Collaborative Piano Intensive

July 8-27, 2019

Vocal Intensive for high school-aged singers (ages 14 to 18)

Join young singers from across North America in this unique and immersive learning experience. Leading professionals and music educators provide daily lessons and coaching, as well as classes in acting, movement, diction, and musicianship skills. Students are encouraged to apply for one or both sessions.

In an intensive, yet supportive environment, students will experience life in a Musical School Program, further enhancing their studies with their teacher. Each session provides multiple performance opportunities, giving participants a chance to showcase their new skills. Taking place at The Royal Conservatory's historic Toronto site, this is a unique opportunity to work with outstanding faculty and to bond with your singing peers.

Collaborative Piano Intensive for pianists (ages 18+)

The Collaborative Piano program is part of the Royal Conservatory School’s Summer Vocal Performance Intensive, with a limited enrolment of two pianists. The program is appropriate for pianists in their 3rd and 4th year of undergraduate study. Audition required.

Participation is required throughout the full three weeks (July 8 – 27, 2019), and pianists will be paired with singers enrolled in both the one-week and two-week intensive. In addition to performing with the students, pianists will also work with faculty and guest instructors.
