Bernadette Geras maintains a large studio, where she teaches piano, theory, and composition. Her students participate in festivals and exams and perform regularly in recitals and master classes, in which they sometimes play Ms. Geras's own compositions. Some of her students have made their own CDs at a professional recording studio. In addition to her private studio, Bernadette teaches through the University of Manitoba, Preparatory Studies Division, where she also serves as a clinician for piano master classes and as a collaborative pianist for vocal master classes and auditions.

Bernadette has adjudicated at the Mountain Music Festival, Kenora District Festival of the Arts, and Turtle River Festival of the Arts.

In December 2011 Ms. Geras participated in the creation of a mini-musical called “The Compassion Project,” where students were guided to make their own music and choreography to bring to life the words of the poet Manju Lodha. Bernadette regularly collaborates with her students in duets and duos and accompanies various vocalists and instrumentalists. She frequently accompanies singers for recordings and is a regular keyboard player for St.
Bernadette Parish. Previously she was an accompanist for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Professional Division. Bernadette is a regular accompanist for Rhonda Head.

Ms. Geras recently served as the body movement consultant for the filming of "American Girl."
