Alumni Win Coveted Positions

It was an exciting summer for many Glenn Gould School alumni who took the next step in their careers through new appointments and performance opportunities. We congratulate the following former students and wish them every success in their new roles.

Sydney Baedke

  • Sydney Baedke (2019-20 Rebanks Fellow) will make her Covent Garden debut as Female Chorus in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia in a co-production between the Royal Opera House and Britten Pears Arts.
  • Charles Benaroya (ADP ’09, trombone) has been appointed Second Trombone with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra after working as Principal Trombone with the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra and National Ballet of Canada Orchestra.
  • Anna Betuzzi (ADP ’22, oboe) has been awarded Principal Oboe with the Victoria Symphony.

  • Danielle Green (ADP ’19, violin) was appointed to the violin section of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
  • Roslyn Green (ADP ‘16, viola) has been appointed Principal Viola with the Des Moines Symphony.
  • Emily Kruspe (ADP ’15 / 2017-2018 Rebanks Fellow, violin) has been appointed to the violin section of the National Arts Centre Orchestra.
  • Chia-Yu Hsu (ADP ‘23, bassoon) has been appointed Principal Bassoon with the National Ballet of Canada.
  • Luri Lee (ADP ’13 / 2013-14 Rebanks Fellow, violin) was appointed to the violin section of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
  • Buon Park (ADP ‘17, violin) was appointed to the violin section of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
  • Robert Weymouth (PDP ’11, trumpet) has been appointed Second Trumpet with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra after working as the Principal Trumpet of the Canadian Opera Company and the Second Trumpet of the National Ballet of Canada Orchestra.
