Colin Clarke appointed to the Oscar Peterson School of Music

The Royal Conservatory is pleased to announce the appointment of Colin Clarke as Artistic Director of the Oscar Peterson Program — a new initiative that will provide comprehensive musical training, tuition-free, for young people in underserved communities — at the Oscar Peterson School of Music beginning in the fall of 2022.

RCM Students Ready for First Performances of 2022

Having had performances in January cancelled or postponed due to the latest closures, students of The Glenn Gould School and The Taylor Academy are looking forward to returning to the stage for these upcoming concerts*:

2021-22 Rebanks Fellow Jean-Luc Therrien recently recorded a recital in the Arts & Letters Club of Toronto’s Music From the Great Hall series.
Stewart Goodyear will be appearing in Koerner Hall for a concert on February 9 with the Penderecki String Quartet and the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and alumni of The Glenn Gould School’s vocal program.
A cancelled San Francisco Symphony concert was saved when RCM alumnus, Jan Lisiecki, performed an impromptu one-hour solo concert.
Violinist, educator, disability advocate and RCM Alumnus Adrian Anantawan, also of The Glenn Gould School Dean’s Advisory Board, has been named one of The Kennedy Centre’s Top 50 Leaders.
