What is the First Class Honor Roll?
In recognition of high-achieving students across the RCM Certificate Program, students who earn an 80 or above on their RCM exam (regardless of whether it is a practical, theory, in-person or remote/digital exam) will be listed on the RCM First Class Honor Roll which will be issued twice a year on our website.
How does a student qualify for the First Class Honor Roll?
Students will be listed in the First Class Honor Roll if they qualify for any of the following:
Earning a mark of 80 or more for any Practical exam (in-person or remote)
Earning a mark of 80 or more for any Theory or History exam (in-person or digital)
How often is the First Class Honor Roll issued?
The First Class Honor Roll is issued twice a year:
The summer edition will include students who completed RCM exams between December 1 to May 31.
The winter edition will include students who completed RCM exams between June 1 to November 30.
Will I be notified if my student makes the First Class Honor Roll?
Yes, the email address associated with the exam application will be notified in advance of the issue date to ensure the student opts-in to their name being published online. If a teacher was associated with the exam application, the teacher will be notified as well.
How do I opt in/opt out of having my name published?
Eligible students and teachers will be notified in advance of the Honor Roll issue date to ensure we have your consent to publish your name online.
What happens if I have multiple students?
The exam results will be listed in the MyRCM account belonging to the person who registered for the exam. If you are the account holder, log in to your MyRCM account to view the results and verify the eligibility of your students. If you are not the account holder, you will need to contact the appropriate account holder to verify the exam results.

What information is published in the First Class Honor Roll?
A student’s name, level, and discipline they are being recognized for will be published online. Teachers will have their name and music studio/school published if it’s available. If a school is associated with the exam application, the school will be listed.
During the opt-in process, eligible students and teachers will have the option to select how they would like their name displayed.

Will students receive a physical certificate or award?
The First Class Honor Roll is digital only. For eligibility on certificates and official awards, please visit our
