Alina Thibodeau

Alina Thibodeau completed her education at University of Toronto: Bachelor of Music (Piano Performance), Bachelor of Education (Junior/Intermediate), and Masters of Music (Piano Performance and Pedagogy). Originally from Romania, she continued her music studies in Canada under the tutelage of Boris Lysenko (piano) and Midori Koga (piano pedagogy). She is a recipient of the Arthur Plettner Graduate Fellowship, William Aide and Miriam Neveren Memorial scholarships. A passionate teacher, Alina has taught students of all ages (children and adults). Her teaching philosophy encourages students to play the piano with physical freedom, explore musical expression and be independent thinkers.
