Began his violin study at the age of four.
After he enrolled in the attached Primary School of the Central Conservatory of Music, China, he studied with Professor En-qing Zhou,
also learned from Prof. Zhi-long Wang, Prof. Li Han and
Mr. Xian-zhang Wei, the former concert master of the Central Philharmonic Orchestra, China.
Before he went to the United States in 1985,
Mr. Huang had been the principal of the Beijing Symphony Orchestra and the Central Broadcast Symphony Orchestra.
Having completed his Artist Diploma, Bachelor and Master Degree of Performance Arts at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh.
