Carla Hartsfield

I am an award-winning piano teacher and former RCM faculty (Toronto). I have been a senior examiner since 1992. In short, if you want to learn to play the piano with better results than you imagined, I am your teacher! Now in St. Catharines, I enjoy a varied class of children and adults. As an in-person and remote examiner teaching at every level, I have been designated to adjudicate for 9, 10, ARCT, Licentiate and Pedagogy, in particular. This year, because there is a need in my community, I am offering to teach rudiments, history and pedagogy, the latter being a particular specialty. As a performer and recording artist, I bring creativity, artistry and a sense of fun to my teaching. Due to COVID-19 and variants, students may request in-person or remote lessons given current circumstances. As this time it is important to be aware that both types of learning are available in my studio.
