Ekaterina Burago

Originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, I began my musical journey when I was five years old. I became a student of Marylene Dosse, a phenomenal pianist, private teacher, and professor at Penn State, at the age of eight, becoming her youngest student at the time. Since then, I went to the Penn State Music camp twice, once winning a full scholarship, and later attended PSU for Piano Performance and Music Education. I have been maintaining a private piano studio for the last 11 years and have worked with students of all levels and ages, from beginners to advanced teens preparing for college auditions, and adults fulfilling childhood dreams. In 2017 I was hired as a piano instructor at a music academy in Asheville, North Carolina, and learned a lot from the experience. Though I enjoyed working in a school, I found that maintaining a private studio was more fulfilling for me, allowing me to work with a bigger variety of students.
