Ellen Moore

Ellen Moore

Ellen Moore has a Bachelor of Music degree and a diploma from the Orchestral Training Programme at the Royal Conservatory of Music, and she completed a pedagogy course at the RCM with Adelina Burashko. She studied for seven years with one of North America’s foremost violin teachers, David Zafer. She has performed music in concert or in recording with Anne Murray, Natalie Cole, Dionne Warwick, Ray Charles, Deep Purple, Donna Summer, Liza Minelli, Sarah McLachlan, Roger Hodgson, and many others, and has been a member of the orchestras for many of the major musicals in Toronto, including Phantom of the Opera, Showboat, Ragtime, Sunset Boulevard, and The Producers. She has performed on a regular basis with orchestras such as the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Hamilton Philharmonic, and the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, and has recorded the soundtracks for numerous television commercials. Ellen loves to teach, and brings her joy of music and learning to her teaching of students at every level and of every age. She has been running a private teaching studio for more than 25 years.
