Eric Rinehart is the owner of Eric’s Piano School, a thriving studio in Fountain Valley with over 140 students and a team of seven dedicated staff. An Elementary and Intermediate Specialist certified through the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), Eric brings a deep commitment to both musical excellence and personal growth.
His formal training includes eight years of study with Samuel Grodin of the Colburn School and CSU Long Beach’s Bob Cole Conservatory. He currently studies with Mark Sullivan, retired USC piano faculty and former chair of the Southern California Bach Festival.
A two-time world champion euphonium player with the Concord Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps (2011–2014), Eric draws on the discipline and endurance of those long summers—practicing from sunrise to sundown with performances each evening—to inspire his teaching. His approach blends the physical freedom of the Taubman technique with a passion for bringing the stories of the classical canon to life. He views piano study as a path to self-mastery and self-actualization, guiding students to unlock both their musical and personal potential.
