Gerry Shatford

Gerry Shatford

Pianist and composer Gerry Shatford was educated at McGill University (B.Mus 1995) and York University (M.A. 2010, PhD - currently),institutions at which he studied classical and jazz piano, music theory and composition. He is active as a teacher in Toronto where is also currently pursuing a doctorate in the music program at York University; the subject of his dissertation research is the music of the great American pianist and composer Stanley Cowell.
