Gloria Chu is a dedicated pedagogue, RCM examiner, festival adjudicator, composer and performer. She holds a Master of Arts in Piano Pedagogy and mentor students in piano, violin and voice. Gloria is passionate for music education and has explored learning with the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Shenandoah University, the Juilliard School, and the University of Ottawa in vocal, string and piano pedagogy. She is current working on her 2nd Masters degree in the UK at the University of Chichester in String Pedagogy. Her innovative teaching methods motivate students to explore ensemble chamber music and composition. Through examinations, many successful students receive distinctions and are recipients of the Royal Conservatory of Music Gold Medal Award, having achieved the highest grades in the province of Alberta, while others receive gold medals with scholarships in competitions, all with the spirit of nurturing enjoyment in music. Gloria is currently a mentor to several developing teachers and artists. She values the art of sharing her passion for music through her teaching and performances.
