Heather Patton

Heather is a second-generation music teacher and comes from a family of musicians. She started teaching in her mother's studio at the age of 14 and has loved working with students of all ages ever since. Heather studied with Edward Parker and Henry Waack in Vancouver, BC. She completed classical training through the Royal Conservatory of Music and holds an ARCT performance diploma. She has a keen interest in history and completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Victoria with a Major in Theatre History and Minor in Greek and Roman Studies. Heather is passionate about bringing the fine arts to her community and is a member of the Registered Music Teacher's Association BC. As a licensed Smart Start instructor, Heather also offers Early Childhood Music Education group classes to children from 0-3 years old. In addition to teaching piano, she operates Toes and Tutus, a preschool and early elementary dance program. Heather teaches piano, music rudiments, music history and harmony and early childhood music. She loves sharing her joy of music with her four children and looks forward to sharing it with you too.
