Jasmine Long

Originally from Ontario, Ms. Long began her studies at age 3, beginning with violin and piano. She then picked up the cello at age 4 and continued all three instruments until she pursued Bachelors of performance at McGill, Masters in University of Calgary, and Masters Artist Performance Program at MRU. She additionally pursued her bachelors in Education, specialising in French and Music at Windsor University, with additional ABQs from University of Western Ontario. Ms. Long has performed both nationally and internationally as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestra member with the Windsor Symphony, London Symphonic Orchestra, L’Orchestre de la Francophonie, NYOC, World Music Players, etc., to name a few. Presently, she resides in Calgary as a private music instructor, freelance musician, and seasonal manager for music festivals and competitions such as the Pathways Program, The Canadian Music Competition, etc. In her spare time, she enjoys pursuing her other careers and passions, such as teaching dance, expanding her cuisine and whiskey palette, playing video games and chamber music, scuba diving, and tattoo design.
