John Baptist Lam

John Baptist Lam is a pianist with a passion for music that started at the age of 16 when he began teaching himself to play the piano. His dedication and talent soon led him to pursue formal training at renowned institutions, including the Xing Hai Music Conservatory and the Franz Liszt Music Academy under the guidance of esteemed professors Szokolay Balazs and Kiraly Csaba.
continuing his educational journey, John later studied at Brandon University, where he had the privilege of studying with accomplished musicians such as Alexander Tselvakov. D. Joana Miller, and Dr. Jones Lawrence. His exceptional abilities and commitment were recognized through the prestigious Peggy Shape Scholarship. Furthering his education, John embarked on a new chapter at McGill University, where he was awarded the Excellence Entrance Scholarship.
Throughout his musical career, John has participated in numerous master classes, collaborating with esteemed artists including Pierre Reach, Mark Durand, Sergio Tiempo and Arthur Rowe. Most recently, he has been refining his skills in both piano performance and piano pedagogy under the guidance of Sergio Tiempo.
John's dedication to his craft and his constant pursuit of excellence have shaped him into a versatile and accomplished pianist. With his extensive training and diverse experiences, he captivates audiences with his expressive interpretations and technical proficiency. Beyond his musical pursuits, John enjoys exploring various genres of music and finding inspiration in diverse art forms.
