John Baptist Lam is a talented and accomplished pianist with a lifelong passion for music. His journey began at the age of 16 when he embarked on a self-taught exploration of piano playing. Recognizing his potential, John pursued formal training at prestigious institutions to further develop his skills. He first attended the renowned Xing Hai Music Conservatory, where he studied under the esteemed professor Xie Xiao He. Here, he refined his technique and deepened his musical understanding. Seeking to expand his knowledge, John then enrolled at the esteemed Franz Liszt Music Academy, studying under the guidance of Kiraly Csaba & Szokolay Balazs. These experiences allowed him to immerse himself in a rigorous educational environment and learn from renowned musicians. Continuing his educational journey, John joined Brandon University, where he had the opportunity to study with accomplished musicians such as Alexander Tselvakov, Dr. Joana Miller, and Dr. Jones Lawrence. His exceptional talent and dedication were recognized through the prestigious Peggy Shape Scholarship, a testament to his outstanding abilities. Furthering his studies, John pursued a degree at McGill University, studying under the esteemed tutelage of Kyoko Hashimoto. Supported by the Excellence Entrance Scholarship, he had the privilege of refining his craft under the guidance of a highly respected pianist. This period allowed John to deepen his musical interpretation and performance skills. Throughout his career, John actively engaged in master classes, collaborating with distinguished artists including Pierre Reach, Mark Durand, Sergio Tempo, and Arthur Rowe.
