John McQuaig

John McQuaig is a New York City based composer and pianist. He's written an eclectic array of dynamic music for a variety of media including short films, documentaries, video games, podcasts, and animation. A classically trained pianist, John is equally comfortable in the realm of Western Classical traditions as he is with electronic music, rock, jazz, and other genres. His signature sound is often characterized by pulsing optimism, vibrant melodic focus, or spacious, evocative textures. He received his Master of Music degree ('22) in Screen Scoring from NYU's Steinhardt School. Additionally, he holds a Master's degree (NYU Steinhardt '19) and Bachelor's degree (Ithaca College '16) in Piano Performance.
