Josh Sinclair is a pianist, organist, and composer based in Toronto, ON. Trained both as a Classical and Jazz pianist, his music is a unique mix of jazz, classical and sacred music. Josh has performed as a bandleader and sideman in numerous groups and solo throughout Toronto and the GTA.
Josh has worked as a choir director and organist for over 10 years. Since 2025 he has been the music director at First ELC in downtown Toronto where he leads a diverse group of voices and instrumentalists in worship music. His experience in sacred music is complemented by his extensive jazz experience to bring a distinctive perspective to First ELC’s music ministry.
As an educator, Josh is an RCM certified teacher and has taught both classical and jazz piano and theory to a variety of ages. He completed his Master’s degree in Jazz piano from UofT under the tutelage of David Braid and Chris Donnelly among others. He has also completed his ARCT from the RCM and is a colleague of the Royal Canadian College of Organists.
