Peter Ware graduated from Yale school of music in 1976 studying composition with the Polish composer Krysztof Penderecki. While teaching at Queens University from 1976 to 1977, he was the director of the electronic music studio and taught comprehensive music theory and harmony classes. From 1977 to 1979 he was the director of the Brock University’s Electronic Music Studio and teaching freshman harmony. In Toronto, he has been preparing students for all levels of RCM piano, harmony and analysis examinations since 1990. He has received funding for numerous commissions from the Ontario Arts Council, the Canada Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
