Vivian Liu

Teacher ARCT/LRCM
Vivian Liu began her musical training at the age of 4, learning the violin and piano. She holds an RCM ARCT in piano performance [2011] and is an RCM ARCT National Gold Medalist in violin performance [2012]. Vivian made her solo debut with the VSO at the age of 12 and has won numerous competitions including the Canadian Music Competition. Her students have received RCM gold medals in the piano and violin, performed in gala concerts, and have been active members of youth orchestras in the community. Vivian enjoys witnessing each student’s growth as they fulfill their goals and believes the most important factor in the learning process is that the student is having fun. In 2020, Vivian obtained her bachelors degree from UBC. She has since been an UBC Alumni Broad Based Admissions Reader, assessing and scoring personal profiles of prospective UBC undergraduate students.
