I have served as President of the York Music Teachers Association, judged at piano competitions and auditions and devote many hours of volunteer time to the local music community, and also at the state and national levels. I have published several articles in national music magazines and have conducted several teacher workshops.
I studied piano and composition at Peabody Conservatory, but later transferred to the University of Maryland, which led to a 28-year career in medicine. I returned to my passion for piano performance and classical music in 2002. Many students have received regional, state and local awards.
