I am an ARCT-certified piano and theory teacher currently studying Music Education at the University of Toronto, with over four years of teaching experience working with students from young beginners to adult learners. My teaching balances a strong focus on RCM examination preparation with the development of well-rounded musicianship.
I believe that learning music should be both structured and meaningful. Alongside building a solid technical foundation, I guide students to develop tone, phrasing, and expressive playing. Theory is integrated directly into lessons through analysis, listening, and application, allowing students to understand the music they play rather than learning concepts in isolation.
Each lesson is carefully tailored to the individual student. I design personalized lesson plans that reflect different learning styles and needs, incorporating singing, conducting, improvisation, and other interactive approaches. This creates lessons that are not only engaging, but also meaningful and effective in developing both technique and creativity.
I value patience, adaptability, and genuine connection in teaching. My goal is to create an environment where students feel motivated, supported, and inspired—so that beyond exams and achievements, they develop a lasting passion for music and the confidence to express themselves through it.
