Two of Canada’s biggest names in opera join the COC orchestra and their Music Director, Johannes Debus, for a special evening of Beethoven’s opera Fidelio and Symphony No. 2, as well as works by von Weber, Schubert, and Wagner.
 
Internationally renowned soprano and head of the vocal faculty at the Conservatory, “Adrianne Pieczonka is a revelation, with a lavishly creamy voice” (Financial Times). Canadian tenor Michael Schade, one of the world’s leading tenors, is often seen in performance with Vienna State Opera, Metropolitan Opera, the Munich Opera, and the COC.
