LiPing Chen Hudson

I teach individual and group piano lessons and music theory classes in Northern Virginia. I have been preparing my students for RCM piano examinations since 2009 and music theory examinations beginning in 2016. My students have earned excellent marks on RCM piano examinations. Many of my students taking the Practical Piano Examinations have earned the Center Certificate of Excellence Awards, and four have earned the State Certificate of Excellence Awards for Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. One student earned the top mark in the State of Virginia and was invited to perform in the RCM’s Celebration of Excellence Concert in February 2020 in Florida. My music theory students have also earned top marks on various levels of the RCM music theory examinations, averaging above 95 percent, with four earning grades of 100 percent. One student graduating from my program this year credited my music theory class and piano instruction with helping her earn admission to Columbia University for the fall of 2020. My students who took RCM Level 8 Music Theory Examinations scored an average of 97 percent in June, 2020.
