Rayna Slavova, a Bulgarian pianist currently residing in Montreal, is actively pursuing a career both as a pianist and a piano teacher. Her performances have graced stages across the United States, Canada, Italy, Colombia, and Ecuador. She has collaborated with various notable ensembles and artists, including the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, Oper'actuel: Works in Progress, Jose Navas/Companie Flak, the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, and the Madison Festival Choir.
Rayna Slavova has been teaching actively for over fifteen years piano and music theory. She has ample experience with both beginner and advanced students and she has prepared students for the RCM piano end theory and history exams in multiple occasions.
For over ten years, Rayna Slavova has focused her career on vocal repertoire, encompassing art-song, opera, musical theater, and oratorio. Her collaborations have been extensive, involving singers, conductors, and composers in the United States, Canada, Italy and Colombia. Notably, she has worked closely with Canadian composer Ana Sokolovic and Colombian composer Alejandro del Valle-Lattanzio.
Rayna Slavova holds a master's degree in vocal accompanying from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University She furthered her studies and earned a doctorate in vocal accompanying from the University of Montreal.
She was also a resident pianist of the Mcgill-UdeM Piano -Vocal residency in 2024-2025.
She has also achieved recognition for her talents, winning the Irwin Shain Woodwinds/Piano Duo Competition at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
