I have loved music for as long as I can remember and began to learn the recorder aged 3. I played in various bands and orchestras, often with leading positions throughout primary and secondary school where I gained grade VIII (ABRSM) in both the flute and violin. Aged 16, I attended Chetham’s School of Music for 2 years, where I was awarded my piano diploma with the London College of Music, before studying for my BMus Honours degree at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Whilst studying at the Guildhall, I began teaching in my spare time and found that I loved it! Upon graduating in 2009, I pursued my career as a flute, violin and piano teacher and have never looked back! As a music teacher I aim to... - nurture and instil a love and appreciation of music to all my students; - make lessons as fun, tailored to the individual and enjoyable as possible! Additionally, I am a published songwriter and producer, an award-winning singer and composer, a successful choir conductor and a specialist primary school music teacher (UK). Outside of music, I love rock climbing and then, baking! I like to be out and about, exploring new places, sampling new cafes and hiking in the countryside with friends and family. I moved to BC in 2018 and am delighted to have recently been approved for Permanent Residency.
